CATITUDE 4~'Undercover Kitty'

I had to include this one in the series in part due to the nature of Gizmo, my youngest female cat. She's always been a bit high strung. Well, a LOT high strung actually. She also has overly large ears for her small face and huge 'headlamp' eyes. Little Mo' as we nicknamed her also is shy around strangers and typically hides under the covers on my bed when company comes. When I had workers come to redo my bathroom a few years ago Gizmo spent the entire five days undercover, coming out only to eat and use the litterbox. I know the workmen wondered what that lump was in my bed.

This one's for you, Little Mo'. Love ya!

Awwwwwwww, Mo's so cute! You've done a fabulous job with those eyes. You really are so good with watercolours and animals.

Yes some cats are pretty skitty, I had one years ago like that who would flee at the drop of a hat.

thank you, Jeanette. unfortunately this isn't actually Little Mo'. Gizmo is all black so i chose a similar kitty with those same eyes and expression. i'd have lost poor Gizmo in that dark background.

Stacy and Mary, thanks for stopping by! i'm having so much fun with this series. i had planned this one to be the last but now i see this continuing. so many funny cats, so many painting opportunities.:-)

thank you, Rebecca! i'm glad you're enjoying these.:) i've got a Xmas theme in my head involving Jackson's painting but i'm not sure i can get it on paper to my satisfaction. i'll have to do a lot from imagination so it'll be kinda dicey. stay tuned.........

What amazing eyes, Billie!

My mother had a cat called Wus, because he was one - such a scaredy cat, and he was a big cat so you wonder what he had to be scared of!

Wus....LOVE it! LOL! we didn't know Gizmo was going to be so skittish when we named her. she was named her after that little critter in the movie, Gremlins. the soft fuzzy one with the huge eyes and ears.

Love it :) I know it has been said but Mo is so cute and you totally captured her, love her whiskers too, they somehow add to her skitishness :)

i missed a great photo opportunity today, Tracey. men were working on the driveway in front of my home today and making a lot of noise. Gizmo headed straight under my bedspread. i grabbed the camera but the darn thing wouldn't cooperate and i didn't get the shot. i was SO hoping to post it on my blog. i'm sure i'll another chance someday, tho.

What a wonderful painting. I love to see the cat peaking out from under the blanket. It tells a story. It is too cute.

We just got two kittens this summer and it is always exciting to see how they are discovering all these things in their life. I am not fast enough with my camera sometimes.

Doris, welcome to my blog.:) thank you for your comments! aren't kittens the cutest, funniest little things? you have to be really fast with a camera to capture them. while they're awake anyway.

i visited your blog and i have to say your florals and portraits are incredible! i was most impressed by your horse, tho. loved the way you used color.
