Fun With Elements 6.0~Pt. 2

Using the same original image I selected 'Solarize' from the effects menu. The results look something like an oil slick on water. I converted the solarized image to black and white and discovered this is a great way to isolate the basic shapes and light patterns in an image. Even though it's now in black and white I was still able to adjust the appearance of the image by using the color slide bars you see at the bottom of the Elements window.

Hi Billie! What an interesting post.. all three! You are having fun digitally manipulating your poppy image i see. The choices seem endless.
I have a photo program also, but still need to upload into computer. Have had so many problems with computer it makes me anxious, however seeing what you have achieved here has me feeling a little more positive about perhaps exploring this at some stage.
Thank you for sharing another facet of your process.

Hey Perugina.:) I posted one other Elements tutorial on my blog...I think last year(?)and got quite a few visits because of it so I know people are interested in learning anything they can about these programs, even from me. lol

I installed this particular program specifically to help me create notecards but now my printer is acting up so I've begun experimenting with the Elements features to see how I can incorporate them into my art. I don't intend to start creating digital art but as you can see, it's amazing the effects(and ideas)one can get with these programs.

WHAO Billie !!
I guess I haven't been around for awhile . Look what you do when I don't keep tabs on you. Super cool Lady and I'm envious that you know how to tell this computer what to do instead of the other way around. I'm going back into my cave now and draw on the walls...sigh.

Don't be fooled, Janet. I'm shooting in the dark here. I just open the program and play. Sometimes something interesting happens, sometimes it doesn't. LOL
