Birch Landscape~ Complete!

SOLD

Well, almost. I need to tweak the markings on the birch trees a little but I'm close to calling this one done. As usual, the colors are a little off. I tried my best with my photo editor but I lost some lavenders and pale yellow in the stream and some soft grey/blues in the background. Also, the actual painting looks a bit softer overall. I really enjoyed using the gesso as a painting medium. It gave the effect of oils where I needed it.

Its wonderful Billie. I love the softness and depth you have and the water is perfect.

I know how frustrating it is to get colour looking anything like reality when scanning or photographing them. Its a real struggle for me.

You have a winner here!

Thanks so much, Jeanette.:) This landscape project has consumed me these past several weeks. The image is just rubbish but I could NOT get the colors to come out correctly. I've made my tweaks and set this out of view for awhile. I've looked at it far too long to be objective. I'm glad you like it!

Very nice, Billie. I especially like how you blurred the background...something's back there, but the focus is on the foreground. Wonderful!

Thanks, Diana.:) I'm happy with the painting. I added a few more darker trees in the bg. Just suggestions of trees actually. It created more depth. I gave up trying to photograph this painting. The customer likes it so I'm ordering the mats and frames today.
